Which was more powerful Gran Colombia or the US?

Which country was more powerful at the time, Gran Colombia, or the US? In the context of 1830-1840's international relations, it seems historians pay more attention to Gran Colombia, so I am just wondering if they were more powerful.

well... the Gran Colombia was not powerful as the United States. at that time began their disintegration even at 1828

remember that there were many political differences and a constitutional disorder

besides bolivar faced with limited resources the Spanish royalist colonies that continued controlling many sections of it

the Dissimilarity of character, habits and interests among populations,

the economic crisis that sparked the war, coupled with the lack of roads and means of communication, prevented organize and govern well as extensive territory,

There were economic and political sectors in each country who were never interested in the integration process.

England and the United States promoted the ''secesión''

Venezuelans and Ecuadorians wanted more autonomy in their territory

just had a great power based on the elite troops commanded by Bolivar in that Latin America
