    well not exactly.

Haiku is supposed to be 5 syllable beats on the first line, 7 on the 2nd line, and then 5 again on the third line.

Yours is 4,7 and 7. Kinda not so much a haiku. Nice try though.

This is truly a special gift. No, Santa is not part of nature, but of the season we celebrate; not the reason, of course. I like Bruce's C&C of the individual haiku's. I love the whole, but my favorite is too darned hard to pick out. Isn't zephyr your haiku and scifaiku name? I'm sure it is. It isn't an arcane word, just rarely used, but it is absolutely correct in the haiku. Thank you and may you have the most wonderful Christmas of all. .

    Death in battle.

Americanization is seven syllables so goes on line 2.

Interesting that your poems are usually so condensed as to be indecipherable and yet when a poem REQUIRES condensation you become long-winded. Hmm

it's a "haik" (haiku without the u) but a good poem nonetheless.

Close enough for me. Call it "F-haiku"
