some viruses will indeed try to disable mbam

so if malwarebytes will not start up/install

    save it to your desktop,

    before you save Malwarebytes,

    rename it to explorer.exe

and then click on Save and save it to your desktop.

Same thing after you install it.

Before running it, rename the main executable file first.

if it still will not install,

    Right-click on the mbam-setup.exe file

and change the .exe extension to .bat, .com, .pif, or .scr

then double-click on it to run.

If after installation, MBAM will not run,

open the Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware folder on your desktop

or if you failed to install it to your desktop,

it will be found in the Program Files Folder,

right-click on mbam.exe and change the .exe as noted above.

Then double-click on it to run..

after you have used malwarebytes then use this.

to make sure you have nothing else hiding away. (use the free trial)

    Super anti spyware Pro :

it also has tools to restore your missing functions..

start the computer in safe mode with net working.

    open internet explorer.

click on the Tools menu and then select Internet Options

Now click on the Connections tab

Now click on the Lan Settings button

    Under the Proxy Server section,

uncheck the checkbox labeled Use a proxy server for your LAN.

Then press the OK button to close this screen.

Then press the OK button to close the Internet Options screen.

Now that you have disabled the proxy server

you should be able to browse the web again with Internet Explorer.

    ☼good luck.

    What this infection does:

Guard Online is a computer infection from the Rogue.WinAVPro family, which includes other rogues such as OpenCloud Security. This infection is classified as a rogue anti-spyware program because it uses false security alerts and fake scan results to try and trick you into thinking that your computer is infected so that you will then purchase it. This infection is promoted through hacked sites that use exploits to install this program onto your computer without your permission. This infection will also terminate the majority of programs that you attempt to run. When you start an executable it will automatically be closed and you will then be shown a security warning from the Windows taskbar stating that the program is infected.

You need to be very careful in removing this virus. If you don't have alot of knowledge in virus removal you can compromise your system even more. The link below has a lot more info on how to safely remove this virus. Good luck!

    Try this:

Boot your computer to Safe Mode with Networking, then open your browser, copy and paste this link into the address bar and press Enter. It's a direct download for RKill. Save it to your desktop, then run it. When it's running, your desktop icons will vanish for a few seconds. When the notepad report is displayed, just close it. You may now delete RKill if you wish.…

Your Malwarebytes' will now hopefully run.

    Hope this helps.
