"Zombies" in most of the movies that are out there about shambling, rotting, flesh-eating undead used-to-be-humans aren't t really zombies at all. They're victims of plagues, alien spores, or terrible mutations.
No one calls them "zombies" because they're not zombies at all.
The folks who make the movies use the word "zombies" because it's short, simple and creepy.
Do a search for real zombies on the 'net, and you won't find anything like the ones you've seen in the movies.
