Why does the US main-stream media avoids reporting about drug-trafficking, prostitution and corruption in Cuba?

Geographically- Cuba is strategically located and America is so interested in it because it's used as jump board for cocaine smuggling to florida

The US media hasn't covered much in Cuba since 1959, when Castro took over. We imposed an embargo on them and pretty much ignore them. PS: it's "spring board" not jump board.

The US media doesn't cover much of anything from Cuba, nor have they for a long time.
