The construction and operation of nuclear power plants is highly regulated for safety reasons and expensive. It's hard to find a good place to build them because of the "not in my backyard" mentality and the need to be near large a body of water. Investors aren't really willing to take the financial risk when they could just build a coal, oil, or natural gas plant. The only real option to get the industry going is subsidies or state ownership.

same reason other basic infrastructure that we take for granted as a part of civilization can't make it without what you call "socialism". The same internet that you use to post your crap wouldn't be there

without government spearheading the development of it.

If you want your no-government gangster rule paradise, move to Somalia.

It costs a lot of money to build a nuclear plant.

It most certainly can't. As a matter of fact, the gov't is currently holding up projects right now so they can properly investigate them. The opposite of your question.

STUXNET has been distributed throughout the world. You have no idea what it will do. Have you noticed all of the anomalous reactor incidents as of late? You have bigger problems than socialism pal.

  • Lol it can. Regulations prevent it from being wide spread.
