I have a 38T front and 14t rear gear ratio for my bmx and i was wondering if this is good for offroading?
I also ride about in my town but not very often so i wanna know if my settings are good for offroading and alright for street

There really isn't a right gear ratio; if you're comfortable pedaling in terms of ease of acceleration and amount of top speed then don't change it. Gear ratios are very much, if not entirely (save for racing), based upon preference. You can explore different set-ups of tooth counts to see how each combination feels to you, and that's really the only way you will ever find your "right" ratio.

it won;t be good for steep hills
or flat ground - speed 15 mph at 100 rpm
you may be able to hit 18 for spurts
this is why we have gears
prob as good as anything else though
