salt and lemon juice on a mouth ulcer?

I get these little bastards every time I get a cut or bite the inside of my mouth. (I cant make it stop it just happens) Anyways, I decided it would be fun to dissolve some salt into lemon juice. After a moment of intense pain and a quick laugh, the ulcer began to loose its white appearance and turn brown/black. Now this is the first time I have done this and it wont be the last, its just too much fun, but is this a good or bad idea. Your opinion.

Very bad. The acid in the lemon juice causes further tissue damage as evidenced by the color change. Salt water ok. Baking soda, even better. Lemon juice.. on the other end of the healing spectrum completely.
