how to calculate the molar coefficient?
a compound has .001M has a cuvette of light path of 1.05. the absorption is 18.4% at 470 nm. the answer is 700 but for some reason i'm having trouble getting there with Beer's Law.

A = έ x l x c
so, έ = A / l x c
what number are you using for A? 18.4? 0.184? or some other number?
έ has units of M-1 cm-1
to get έ of 700/M-cm, A must be what?
700 x 1.05cm x 0.001M = A = 0.735
