i need a word for the prefix -itis?

the meaning for the prefix -itis is swelling

someone told me its a sufix so correct me if im wrong thx

    Prefix comes at the beginning of a word. A suffix finishes the word.

    -itis is definitely a suffix.

    A word using the suffix -itis would be laryngitis.

    well, it's a suffix. We've been studying stuff like this and our teacher said -itis means "swelling" or "inflammation" so something like the prefix "laryng" As in laryngitis

    Therefore, -itis is a suffix

    Sinusitis, appendicitis, and dozens more....
