email and global groups?

Can i email from outside a network (like a customer emailing a security group with a few members) to a global group or does it have to be universal

    If you are talking about an MS Exchange based system, you can email global groups from the Internet in exactly the same way you would email individuals. For example, if my organization has a username "joe" and a global group name "marketing" and their email domain is "ourcompany.com, then you could email joe@ourcompany.com or the marketing@ourcompany.com. Some businesses filter these group addresses from external emails, but that is not the default setup under MS Exchange.
