How to tell if a monitor has superb colors or not?

Question

I'm looking into buying a nice LCD monitor, and I'd like to get a monitor with pretty much the best colors, and contrast available. What is there to look for? How do I know if it's near the best?

And can you recommend a great one for me?

I prefer LED sir, its more vibrant IMO.

U can check Contrast Ratio which is also a good indicator of the image quality of the monitor...
