We usually perform religious rituals on the first and the 15th of each lunar month to pray for protection (safety) and health.

I know quite a few people worship poltergeists. They definitely are far from being "good" spirits, unless by that you meant good liquors.

    Hmm,

I thought Taiwanese worship not only the God, gods, good spirits, deities, as well as ancestors, (some of them) poltergeists, (some good ones) gangsters (such as Mr. Liao), and (sometimes) monuments (like big trees or gigantic rock).

That was why I did not list whom (or what) the rituals are dedicated to and just said

"religious rituals" just like the original post. 拜拜 is just 拜拜. Everyone is happy as long as we all have eternal heath and ample fortunes...

Also, it was amazing to me when I visited Taipei in August. Every store front, as well as government offices paid religious rituals to "bad spirits?" (as my boy friend explained).

Religious rituals in government office can never happen in US.

    Very amazed, indeed!

We usually worship the good spirits on the first and the fifteenth of each month of the Chinese Lunar Calendar for safety and good health.

    Patrick

Normally, we worship the local deities on the first and the fifteenth day of the Chinese Lunar Calendar , and pray for safety and health.

大師所提的"(some of them) poltergeists, (some good ones) gangsters (such as Mr. Liao), and (sometimes) monuments (like big trees or gigantic rock).

We usually worship on the first . . .

We usually have worship on the first . . .

    . . . each lunar calendar month

According to the tradition, we worship God at the first and fifteenth day of Lunar Calendar, pray for safety and health.
