    Unified belief system to maintain social order and control by the ruling class

    Please define what you consider a successful civilization. Your definition will then define the qualities you are looking for. In most uses, a civilization is only vaguely defined, usually no more than "people who live around this area".

    Tolerance, charity (feeling obligated to help), and education.

    I say education because statistically educated people are least likely to provoke violence, hatred, and intolerance.

    A successful civilisation begins in the community. Self-awareness and harmony.

    verify how a civilization treats their minority (straightforward healthcare, preparation, balloting & different rights...if its equivalent to majority human beings). No historic & virtually no modern civilization meets this standards.
