I looked, the conversion is not on the website another answerer provided.

The conversion actually varies according to the API gravity of the oil, which really complicates matters. Tonne is also known as a metric ton, or 2205 lbs, or 1000 kg. This is not the same as a ton, also known as a short ton, or a long ton. The reason the two numbers are difficult to convert is that barrels are strictly a measure of volume, while metric tons are a measure of weight.

My Petreolum Reference Dictionary gives the following factor:

1 metric ton = 7.454 barrels of oil at 36 degrees API.

so, 1 million metric tons would equal 7.454 Million barrels, or 0.007454 Billion barrels

    (US usage for billion= 1,000 x 1,000,000)
