Please don't take this the wrong way. I only mean to help you. After reading your question and story, I thought you were much younger. Just about everyone I know is dealing with some serious issue these days. Rehab, drinking, unemployment, foreclosure, the loss of a pet. IT'S CALLED LIFE. You need to toughen up dear. Pull up your bootstraps and carry on. I've been through WORSE, and I'm still here. And, I'm a woman, alone. Kids are grown, gone, my car is old, my house needs work and I have no money, I could go on and on. But I get up every morning. I try again. I get to the end of the day, and get up the next morning and do the same thing.
All you need to do is get to the finish line. You are still young. I wish I was 46. It's a good age. Find ANOTHER job. Get ANOTHER cat. If your dad's house is cluttered, clean it. You hate moving. Oh well. I hate getting up at 3:15 am to go to work dear. But I have to.
Stop having a pity party and get a thicker skin. You need to these days. You will be fine. Remember what Tom Hanks said in the movie "Cast Away". "I'm gonna get up tomorrow morning, and I'm gonna breathe". Sometimes that's all you can do. BUT DO IT.
Been there. Done that.
