Steam irons not only put off steam but also any chemicals (chlorine, iron, etc) that is in the water you are using are dispersed in the steam and these are very hard on people with asthma. The air in your home is being contaminated with minute chemical particles, you may need to move your business out of your home.

Probably. It hard to breathe in steam.
