why do democrats blame republicans for being in bed with corporations?

When from 1989 to 2004 the top ten "corporations" donated 230 billion out of 280 billion dollars to political campaigns of democrats, and only 50 billion to republicans.

Both parties are owned by corporations. Both support giving unbelievably massive amounts of our money away in corporate welfare. They are robbing us blind by doing so.

According to the libertarian Cato Institute, the federal government spent $92 billion on corporate welfare during fiscal year 2006. Recipients included Boeing, Xerox, IBM, Motorola, Dow Chemical, and General Electric.

You can read Cato's report here:

They have much more on the topic.

It's true that once upon a time the democratic party did more to protect the citizenry from the outright ravages of business.

This is no longer the case, & people have written books about it.

So what were the statistics for 2008, & why do you think the health-care industry are now pretty much funding the other side entirely?

Because I hear the moaning, all the way to my house. Conservatives and Corporate America. In bed and in love.

    Things like this:

"Koch brothers now at heart of GOP power" -

"The Billionaires Bankrolling the Tea Party" -

"By funding numerous rightwing organisations, the mega-rich Koch brothers have duped millions into supporting big business" -

"Koch Oil Gives Marching Orders To Tea Party Congress?" -

This actually backs up our point. The Corporations had to pay A LOT MORE in order to TRY and woo the dems...but it still didn't work...whereas the republicans told he corps that they would support them for free WITHOUT their money...

Because that would mean they would care more about business than the general public

I don't know where you got your statistics from but corporations donate to both parties giving slightly more to republicans, they do this b/c they can and it covers all their bases. The reason they give slightly more to republicans is b/c that's who has there interests in mind.
