Are you asking what year VEGAN, *7th Day Adventist, Dr. Winston Craig, MPH, PhD, RD penned his infamous statement about the vegan diet being healthy for everyone in all stages of life? That was in 2009. Dr. Craig is a member of the vegetarian wing of the ADA, the Vegetarian Nutrition Dietetic Practice Group. Believe me, not everyone in the ADA agrees with this group.

If you actually READ the 2009 paper instead of Dr. Craig's statement, you'll find many comments negative about vegetarianism: http://letthemeatmeat.com/post/401596431/bad-news-...

And other ADA position papers definitely encourage the consumption of animal foods: http://letthemeatmeat.com/post/405880657/other-ada...

*For those that don't know: The 7th Day Adventist Church promotes the vegetarian diet. It's a member's religious responsibility to promote vegetarianism. So to take the writings of a vegan who's a member of this church as proof of anything is like asking the Pope for birth control advice.

You don't have to be a vegetarian to join the church, but they teach that if you eat meat, you won't be taken in the Rapture...translated is their term.
