Texas is the only state in the union which can legally secede from the USA. Why is Perry Treasonous?
Texas v. White. Texas became a state under the Confederacy, therefore has in their constitution that they are legally allowed to secede, the only state in the union.
I realize that we may try to reclaim it, however, legally they can therefore Perry is not treasonous.

Texas v. White, 74 U.S. 700 (1869) was a significant case argued before the United States Supreme Court in 1869. The case involved a claim by the Reconstruction government of Texas that United States bonds owned by Texas since 1850 had been illegally sold by the Confederate state legislature during the American Civil War. The state filed suit directly with the United States Supreme Court, which, under the United States Constitution, retains original jurisdiction on cases in which a state is a party.
In accepting original jurisdiction, the court ruled that Texas had remained a state ever since it first joined the Union, despite its joining the Confederate States of America and its being under military rule at the time of the decision in the case. In deciding the merits of the bond issue, the court further held that the Constitution did not permit states to unilaterally secede from the United States, and that the ordinances of secession, and all the acts of the legislatures within seceding states intended to give effect to such ordinances, were "absolutely null".

a great form of the communicate on seceding from the Union became positioned to take a seat down back in 1865. there may well be some loopholes, however the concern is academic at this element. there is too plenty interdependence between the states and the federal government to make any independence a possibility. And Texas became no longer the only u . s . to connect the Union the two Vermont and California have been countries only before starting to be a member of. that is why the flag for the state of California has the words "California Republic" emblazoned in the time of it.

Ha Ha. It doesn't matter what's in the Texas Constitution, if it conflicts with the US constitution. President Buchanan considered this issue when they seceded and found that there is no law which either permits or prohibits secession. President Lincoln disagreed and declared martial law and a state of rebellion when they seceded, and the Supreme Court backed him up.
