Where is the main strip of bars in downtown Cincinnati?

Going to Cincy in a few weeks and want to know where all the bars are and which ones people my age (23) go to.

Well, maybe it’s the Fountain Square. I think you can find a number of bars and night clubs in this area.

Let me think, there are at least five bars I can recommend to you. all of them are situated right next to the Fountain Square. Well, here’s a list:

**Cadillac Ranch All American Bar & Grill

    Great service and delicious food…

41 East 6th Street, Cincinnati, OH

    **Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery

They have really great food and nice drinks. food there is inexpensive…

10 Fountain Square Plaza, Cincinnati, OH

    **Simon Says

The service was great in Simon Says…

    428 Walnut Street, Cincinnati, OH

    (513) 381-7577

    **Mynt Martini Bar

This bar boasts a great atmosphere, it’s a nice place for dating… :)

28 Fountain Square Plaza, Cincinnati, OH

    **Via Vite

Well, it’s an endless listing. You can find lots of other bars or clubs in downtown Cincy on the following page

I also think it’s a nice idea to check out Metromix Cincinnati for more bars and clubs in downtown area. Well, here’s the page I found on their website. If necessary, check it

Fountain Square is good, the other reviewer has good comments on that.

My personal favorite is Mount Adams. It has several bars at the top of a hill over looking the city. The best of the bars there has to be Mount Adams Pavillion, 949 Pavilion St

There other good spot is across the river in Newport on the riverfront. The best there is Hofbrauhaus - 200 E. Third St, which is a huge brewery and beer garden, although there are a bunch of ones in Newport on the Levee (across the street) worth going to.

Places to go out for a 20-something in Cincy:

Downtown: Cadillac Ranch (Cover. large, mechanical bull, dance floor, drinks are expensive IMO but it’s got kind of a cool atmosphere), Martini (cover. this is the bar that the top 40 radio station broadcast from on the weekends..guess it’s cool, never been there….sound uppity.), The Black Finn (cover. this is a *nicer bar, kinda cool), Lodge Bar (cover. I commonly frequented the Lodge in Columbus while in school…great happy hour (5-9pm $1 well drinks, can’t beat that), there is also a dance floor here so if that’s what you’re into)….all are near/on Fountain Square.

Newport on the Levee: Northern KY, just across the river: Toro (cover. is a dance? Club but they have a mechanical bull as well….I didn’t really like this place the couple times I’ve gone.) attached to Toro is Lucky Strike (a bar/bowling alley which is pretty cool), Brothers (no cover. great view of Cincy from the the back patio, fire pit, darts, pool, good beer tap selection, pretty chill place) Jefferson Hall (cover. dance floor, usually has live bands commonly so doesn’t hurt to check their schedule to see whose playing to see if you’ll like them or not.) Arnies (cover? Dance floor. It’s loud but if you wanna dance this is the place.) Southgate house (not really a ‘club’ more of a super chill music venue with bar….it’s pretty great if you find out whose playing, it’s in an old house that has rooms converted to have live bands)

Mainstrausse: Main Street in Covington, also a hop-skip and a jump away across the river. Can’t name tons of the bars, but the whole street/surrounding area has a bunch so good place to go bar hopping and try and find an atmosphere you like. Cock & Bull I’ve been too, great great beer selection..it’s an English pub.

Molly Malones is not on Mainstrausse but it’s cool irish place. I live it, also in Covington.

Mt. Adams: same as Mainstrausse, but it’s up on the hill in Cincy…lots of different bars to go to , it’s a great/cool little neighborhood. Highly suggest going here.

It all depends on what kind of scene you’re looking for, beer, music, dancing…?
