Why do lions like elephant poo?

I was watching a tv show, and it said that lions like elephant poo. I got curious and researched it but I haven't found out why.

Even captive lions will roll around in elephant poo and eat it. Here is a quote from a naturalist at a lion reserve explaining why lions do this:

"The lions are walked daily.., as part of their pre-release training. There are also elephants at the conservation site, and therefore elephant poo everywhere. Whenever we came across elephant poo, the lions would roll around in it and eat it. Apparently the reason they roll in it is to gain the scent of an elephant in an attempt to hide their own scent, which makes it easier for them to hunt in the wild. The reason they eat it is that it aids in their digestion of food. It fascinates me that completely captive-bred animals that have never seen the true wild can have such strong natural instincts."

Was it on a proffesional t.v show? If it wasn't then that might not have been true. If it is then it is probably because of the stuff elephants eat, then it come out in their poo and for some reason lions like it. OR maybe elephants poo is like a herb to lions. Interesting question
