Howcome Diggy Simmons got a recored deal before his older brother Jo-Jo?

I remember Jo-Jo was working on music every chance he had got. How is it possible that Diggy would get a deal before him? Also, what you think of Diggy skills?

Jo-jo works for a record company and Is signed as part of a group and fights alright

Diggy is the better rapper, lol. Plus like it's already been mentioned, Diggy's way more marketable and has a bigger mainstream appeal. (Pre teen-teenage girls)
I think he's pretty good for his age..he can rap, no doubt. I personally find his voice real irritating though. He'll probably sound better once his voice breaks again..
