Preparing for an audition: Practise practise practise - record yourself and play it back to work out how you can improve, get honest feedback from friends and family. Getting an audition: Acting often involves knowing the right people, so depends to some extent on the people that your parents know. if you don't have the personal connections, then you're going to be 1 person within a crowd of millions that want to be a star. If you don't have the connections, start small and work your way up. The stars in glee and high school musical probably got their positions from having experience in their own school plays and musicals. Acting resume: Try to expand your range of acting skills. If you have talents in singing, dancing or comedy, this can increase your chances in being considered for a role. Reliable websites: As per the previous comment: Google, but also look in your local business directory. Advice: Stay determined, don't give up, be pleasant to everyone, especially the media - if you want to get famous, word of mouth goes a long way. Good luck :)
