A 500.0 pF capacitor consists of two circular plates of radius 0.30mm. How far apart are the plates? (The value of εo is 8.85*10^12C^2/N*m^2)...

The options are

a. 0.00057 μm

b. 0.0025 μm

c. 0.0050 μm

d. 0.00028 μm

I did the problem without knowing if i'm doing it correctly and I got 0.0050....

Can anyone tell me for sure if this is right, or help me get to the right answer if it isn't??

    you use C = εo(A)/d

    5 x 10^-10 = (8.85 x 10^-12)(π)(0.30 mm)^2/d

    d = ((8.85 x 10^-12)(π)(0.30 mm)^2)/5 x 10^-10

    d = 0.0050 μm

    so the answer is c) 0.0050 μm
