From Harry Potter: Is "Marvolo" a real name?

Or did J.K. Rowling just pull it out of her butt just to create the dramatic anagram moment in Chamber of Secrets?

Marvolo is most likely a variation on Malvolio, a name with Latin origins meaning "ill will", as well as a fairly famous character from Shakespeare's Twelfth Night.

I think J.K Rowling planned like 4 books at once. So she probably planned it in the Early Time before she even started writing it.

I thought it was a moon or star or constellation name. That's where she got Merope and Bellatrix from.

Nope, it probably comes from the word marvel. She probably did pull it out of her butt to create the anagram.
