Does anyone use spotify yet?

can you down load songs and listen to them after you stop the monthly service.

does it become your default player or is it like pandoras web site streaming music.

is your music stored on their servers

Sounds to good to be true.

    Well, actually nope you don't actually download mp3 music from Spotify, you merely stream music online so of course you don' t get to keep it after your subscription expires.

    Of course the features you get depend on the Spotify subscription you get, there's some info on the plans round here:

    And if you want to be able to also download Spotify mp3 tracks, than you need some third party piece of software, like Audials One for example, to help you get the job done.

    Audials' Spotify Recorder can record and save Spotify music to mp3 songs fast and in good quality, comes in handy to listen to Spotify tracks offline on any device you need.

    You should keep in mind though that this is just for personal use and you are not supposed to share the music you get this way anywhere.
