Are Central Asians Iranian or Mongol?

    There are 5 former Soviet republics (Kazakhstan, Kirghistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan) and Afghanistan located in Central Asia.

    Of these 6 nations main nations are:

    Kazakhstan - Mongols by genes, Turks by language

    Kirghistan - Mongols by genes, Turks by language

    Turkmenistan - Turks very similar to those living in Turkey

    Uzbekistan - Turks of Mongoloid-Caucasian transitional appearance

    Tajikistan - Iranians

    Afghanistan - different tribes. Some Iranians and most of them Pushtu - totally different

    Central Asia is where the Caucasians from the west, meet the Orientals from the East. Most are a mix of all sorts of peoples, depending on the country/area.
