Which AL Shortstop would you like on your team?

Overall who is the best

A.) Derek Jeter - NYY - .267, 4 HR, 34 RBI, 49 R, 6 Errors

B.) Asdrubal Cabrera - CLE - .284, 17 HR, 61 RBI, 61 R, 11 Errors

C.) Jhonny Peralta - DET - .322, 16 HR, 62 RBI, 46 R, 6 Errors

D.) JJ Hardy - BAL - .275, 18 HR, 44 RBI, 43 R, 2 Errors

E.) Yunel Escobar - TOR - .307, 9 HR, 39 RBI, 58 R, 9 Errors

F.) Marco Scutaro - BOS - .259, 5 HR, 17 RBI, 30 R, 5 Errors

G.) Erick Aybar - LAA - .282, 7 HR, 43 RBI, 41 R, 7 Errors

H.) Elvis Andrus - TEX - .281, 3 HR, 38 RBI, 65 R, 20 Errors

I.) Brendan Ryan - SEA - .260, 2 HR, 33 RBI, 38 R, 9 Errors

J.) Cliff Pennington - OAK - .263, 5 HR,31 RBI, 35 R, 14 Errors

K.) Tsuyoshi Nishioka - MIN - .209, 0 HR, 14 RBI, 9 R, 6 Errors

L.) Alexei Ramirez - CWS - .267, 9 HR, 42 RBI, 57 R, 11 Errors

M.) Alcides Escobar - KC - .250, 2 HR, 32 RBI, 47 R, 12 Errors

I didnt feel like putting down WAR, OBP, SLG%, etc, because i didnt want to get too technical, and so thats why i put the runs stat so it sums it up pretty nicely, especially since some shortstops are top of the order table setters, and some are run producers in the middle of a lineup.

I also left Tampa Bay's Shortstop because Reid Brignac is in AAA and Sean Rodriguez plays wherever.

Best AVG Jhonny Peralta (DET) .322

Most HR J,J. Hardy (BAL) 18

Most R Elvis Andrus (TEX) 65

Least Errors J.J. Hardy (BAL) 2 Errors

Most RBI Jhonny Peralta (DET) 62

Peralta is having a career year, and I would probably take him first, however Cabrera and Ryan are also up there, Cabrera for his great offensive production in an otherwise unnoteworthy Indians lineup and for some spectacular plays, including a behind the back throw to turn a double play and Ryan because he has picked up his offensive production of late and because he is the best defender out of all of the SS in the MLB. Some of the plays he made against the recent series against the Red Sox were ridiculous.

Either JJ Hardy or Brendan Ryan.

They're both excellent defensive shortstops. Not great hitters, but not bad either.
