How to fix my laptop acer aspire?

I have an acer aspire laptop, and i was on my facebook and some sent me a link about a video. I was curious and clicked on it and from there my laptop started sending these virus warnings, dumb me ignored them cause i usually do my sweeps and what not at the end of the day. So i closed my laptop for a while, then later i tried getting on and it started shutting down on me, then rebooted. After it did that a list of codes came up and then went to a safe mood with a black screen that i can not exit...Does anyone know what is wrong, and what i can do to fix it? cause i currently do not have the money to take it somewhere...thank you

On start up (before Windows loads) keep tapping either F5, F8 or F10 (be aware that some manufacturers use F8/F10 for system recovery) then use arrow keys to highlight 'Last known good configuration' hit Enter/Return, click on a user account, enter the password (if you don't know it, there probably isn't one so leave it blank) and hit Return/Enter.

If that doesn't work, try again, but this time highlight 'Safe Mode' hit Enter/Return, click on a user account, enter the password (if you don't know it, there probably isn't one so leave it blank) and hit Enter/Return.

A window will pop up asking if you want to carry on with safe mode or use system restore. Choose system restore, pick a date and time before the problem occurred and confirm.

**Be aware that restoring in Safe Mode cannot be undone!**

    Then do this...

The key words here are SAFE MODE!!!

Download, (if you can't get on-line, have a friend download and copy to disc/flash for transfer) install, update and then in SAFE MODE* run full scans with these programs...

    http://www.superantispyware.com

    http://download.cnet.com/Ad-Aware-Free-Internet-Se... Ad-Aware free

**Note: Malwarebytes should be run in 'Normal Mode' unless that isn't possible!

*** Important, when downloaded/installed/updated disconnect from the internet ***

    Then re-start.

If you can't run a scan, go into the scanner's folder and re-name the .exe file to something like 'MyFile.exe' and try in safe mode again. Some malware prevent the execution of anti spy/mal/virus scans by blocking them by name.

You should consider getting a good Anti-Virus program.

Try one of these free ones...

***Never use more than one, active, anti-virus program at any one time***

*Note: On start up (before Windows loads) keep tapping either F5 or F8 (be aware that some manufacturers use F8 for system recovery!) then use arrow keys to highlight 'Safe Mode with networking' and hit Enter/Return, click on a user account, enter the Administrator password (if you don't know it, there probably isn't one so leave it blank) and hit Enter/Return.

Never open or down load links you are not sure of. Your laptop has been infected by malware/spyware/virus's and it has corrupted and taken over the operating system you now will have to reinstall Windows to fix it and will loose all your files and info on the hard drive as a install writes over every thing on the hard drive including the bugs.

Post the complete model number and installed operating system when asking a question to get the help you need.

How do I reinstall the Operating System on my Acer computer?

If you can get on in safe mode go to start then search "System Restore" and restore it to a time before you clicked on the link. If you can find what it downloaded then delete it.
