    Quarantining an infection is like putting it in a locked cell where it won't do any further harm. However, there are cases of false-positives. I suggest that you quarantine them for a while like a week or so. If your system works fine while those suspected infections are in the quarantine (out of the loop) then you may delete them afterwards.

    As has already been said, they can do no harm in quarantine. But what hasn't been stressed is why they are put there. Files are put into quarantine *just in case* your program - MBAM in this case - made a mistake and flagged a safe or even critical file, so that they can be restored if necessary. Once you delete files from quarantine, they are gone for good, and there's no getting them back. If they turn out to be something that was critical, and you already deleted them, you're SOL. So always keep suspected files in quarantine for at least a week while you pay attention to see that everything is running as it should... after a week or so, THEN you can delete them permanently.

    Geez, NO!!!!

    Quarantine Technology is a function of virus protection software that voluntarily isolates any infected files on a computers hard disk. Quarantine Technology protects these infected files from corrupting other files on a computer.

    To Repost what you have already been given

    * Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.

    * At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to the following:

    * Update Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware

    * Launch Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware

    * Then click Finish.

    * If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.

    * Once the program has loaded, select Perform Quick scan, then click Scan.

    * When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.

    * Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.

    * If it asks for a Restart DO SO, Very Important

    Quarantine means that the malware files are isolated that it cannot do any further harm to the computer. Quarantined files are still on your computer, if you want to fully remove these bad items from your computer, go to Quarantine tab, and click remove all. However, I would encourage you not to remove quarantined items until you are sure that the quarantined items are not false positives. False positives means legitimate files are being detected as malware by antimalware software.

    Depending on the exact issue at hand, a thorough Google search may be be your best bet at resolving for yourself whatever is causing dysfunction. Nonetheless, as a computer technician who runs his own business troubleshooting, repairing, rebuilding, and optimizing computers... I can probably guide you in the right direction. However, without having your PC directly at my fingertips, I can only make general suggestions. In this case, I would surely check out the highly esteemed world-class Reimage software from https://reimagefix.im/ ..

    When people come into our shop and drop off their PC for repair, the first thing we do is run an initial diagnostic. For this function, I use Reimage exclusively. In many cases, I am able to diagnose very quickly what is making their computer run slow, or is giving them the crashes/freezes/errors/grief that brought them to me in the first place. After the diagnostic, in a majority of cases, Reimage is able to remedy All problems and replace any corrupted Windows files. I then proceed to charge a handsome fee for my services that took me all but 30-60 minutes to complete. Obviously sometimes I must work more, but often this is all it takes. It is a very powerful tool that would likely put me and others in my industry out of business if more people knew of it. So don't tell anyone lol, and Good Luck with your PC.

    Quarantined means it stopped the infection from getting further into your computer.

    First open folder to view. If you are sure the item is ok then click on to ignore. Sometimes it has not been allowed but most of the time it is infected.
