"Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses. You build up a whole armor, for years, so nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life... You give them a piece of you. They didn't ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like kiss you or smile at you, and then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so simple a phrase like 'maybe we should be just friends' or 'how very perceptive' turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a body-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. Nothing should be able to do that. Especially not love. I hate love."

I love quotes too..I'll share some of my collections. Hope these might help you.
It’s when your mind says let go, but your heart tells you to hold on It’s when you dream of that person almost every night only to wake up in the morning with tears in your eyes… and most of all, it’s when no matter how you try to forget that person, you just can’t … ‘coz of the fact that you love that person and you just don’t know why.
Why do you take for granted someone who cares a lot for you?
Why do you fool around when you know someone gets hurt?
The answer is simple: ’cause you love and value yourself more than anyone else that you fail to value those who love you more than themselves.
Love may leave your heart like a shattered glass, but keep in mind that there’s someone who’ll be willing to endure the pain of picking up the pieces so you could be whole again.

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can never hurt me. Although, the right/wrong word can be joyful/painful to hear and the memory of hearing it can last a lifetime.
Work like you don’t need the money. Love like you’ve never been hurt. Dance like nobody’s watching. Sing like nobody's listening.
Hearts do break…but time eventually diminishes the hurt.
Do not make others suffer for your pain.
Even when you have pains, you don’t have to be one.
God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.
Grief is a place where a person goes alone. It's like a room without doors, and what happens in that room, all the anger and the pain you feel, is meant to stay there, nobody's business but yours. [paraphrasing Justin Cronin in The Passage]
No one knows the dark places inside others; no one knows what pain, however horrifying or banal, has been visited upon them. [Lisa Unger in Black Out]
People must be allowed to deal with painful and/or private events in their lives in their own way. How that occurs is none of your business. What is your concern is expressing your support and love by being there with open eyes, listening ears, and a closed mouth to hear and comfort when needed.Source(s): 66 years of living and observing
