How did that building in Poland get the nickname "Stalin's Penis"?

When we went to Poland last year there was a building called that and I want to know why.

This massive building is a replica of 4 in Moscow and was built in Communist times to complete with the Catholic churches, the locals apparently hate it and call it Stalin's Penis... Nowadays it houses the ultimate symbols of capitalism, shopping malls and American movie cinemas!

"Ulitimate symbol of capitalism"? Stalin was communist, not capitalist. So idk why you have to put that in your answer.

Cause us Polish kids love to make fun of communists.

Basically, Stalin gave the building to Poland.

    We didn't like Stalin.

    naming it "Stalin's penis"=problem solved.

"Stalin's Penis" is actually a pejorative nickname given to the Palace of Culture and Science, a 1955 "gift" from the Soviet Union. It was at the time the tallest building in Poland and was widely viewed as an ugly symbol of communism

The building was a gift from Stalin. It was viewed as an ugly symbol of communism, so they named it after an ugly communist.
