Dictatorship is potentially far better than democracy at getting things done, because a dictator isn't encumbered by parliaments or fear of losing elections. IF a dictator is honest and acts for the greater or common good, his reign can be wonderful. The Good (Roman) Emperors of the second century demonstrate this quite clearly. Under present conditions, dictatorship is more essential than ever, since democracy by its very nature just can't force people to do without their favorite spending programs, consume less, or have fewer kids. Considering that the alternatives are either dictatorship or economic/environmental disaster, we had better quickly change current, negative perceptions of dictatorship.

Democracy is where you can freely walk the streets and speak your mind on any political issue for or against. Dictatorship is a specific group usually the army which will decide everything for you. You either have a choice to do as you are told in every aspect of your life of suffer the consequence to be re-educated by means of beating the hell out of you.

Dictatorships are usually more efficient than democracies at getting things done quickly. However, "things" in dictatorships often involves arresting and/or executing political rivals/ethnic minorities/enemies of the state.

In doing reforms, dictatorship is very effective because politicians tend to overdo things and almost always try to look good to their constituents at the expense of progressive reforms. We have seen this in Malaysia when Mahathir handled government reforms full hardedly towards its fruition as we see them now. Lee Kuan Yeow is one great example of a dictator.

As a my part Dictatorship is better! bcuz in democracy usually says that all thing comes into common people weather this is false, all thing comes into Politicians, n Politicians do nothing else, just make politics, at the same time in dictatorship is bitty strict n do all things quick, n they no makes politics like Politicians... etc

Depends which country can handle it. Russia had been communist since the 1900's America has been democratic since 1700's Russia is democratic now but has problems since extremists want it back to communism so what I am saying is if a country had democracy first they handle better with that but if they have communism people want change but people don't either

quite frankly it all depends
an open minded dictator who cares about the greater good is good just like how a corrupted democracy is bad
