"The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for
authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place
of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their
households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They
contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties
at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers."
This was either from Plato or Socrates
Anyway, every generation had the same complaints about youth as we do now. You weren't a precious angel in your youth and you probably did smart mouth your parents at a time. Your parents complained about you in your youth, all do at some point.
Just think of it this way, your youth is coming back to bite you in the *** by the new generation.
