how much is 15 shilling compared to us dollars?

The only countries that still use shillings are in Africa, but the exchange rate will vary depending on which country's currency you're talking about.
If you're talking about the old British shillings, which haven't been in use for over 40 years now, 15 shillings were worth £0.75, so equivalent to about €1.20 in today's money.
