The Stastny's each recoprded their first hat tricks on February 20, 1982 in Vancouver in a 9-3 win. Their next game (Feb 22), thet each recorded their 2nd hat tricks in an 11-7 win in Landover, Maryland, recording 7 points each in the process...the 7 points is still an NHL record for most points in a game by a rookie. The only brothers in NHL history to record their 1st hat tricks in the same game. Of note, their linemate, Jacques Richard, also scored a hat trick in the win over the Capitals
