What "and a wake up" would mean?

Like 25 days and a wake up, idk but could it mean the actual wakening from sleep?

Thanks in advance.

It's probably similar to the phrase "one more sleep". It's a way of counting how many more days there is left until something happens, but instead of counting just the days, you could be more precise and count how many times a person will go to sleep (at night) or wake up (in the morning) before that event happens. So it means that on the 25th day, you will go to sleep and must wake up in the morning before the thing you are waiting for will happen.

It's derived from the military (Vietnam). If you had 10 days until you returned from a deployment you would say, "10 days and a wake up."

Another example: It's Wednesday and you have plans on a Friday. "Just 2 days and a wake up before I _____."

It means you're getting out of Jail in 26 days. The wake up means you'll be leaving sometime through the day.
