Federal Communications Commission (FCC)

Food and Drug Administration (FDA)

Import Tariffs

I just got done viewing a question that asked...

"Are you conservatives opposed to any form of socialism?"

Many of the corporate baby sheep said yes.

So that means you guys would like to get rid of every single program on this list?

You don't favor any kind of social safety net provided by the government?

Of course this isn't true socialism, but many of these programs take on the form of some kind of socialism.

Update:

If you took the time to actually read the question, I actually didn't answer my own question

Nice too see that you are too brainless to understand what I'm saying though

Update 2:

@Primo

I am surprised that you of all people took the time to answer a question like this, people like you are usually the ones just trolling around

You pay taxes on social security and Medicare. That means you are paying for other people. Redistribution of wealth remember?? Socialism!

Fool....and I always see you ranting about how social security is a ponzi scheme...now you seem to be supporting this socialist monstrosity!

Both social security and rail road retirement were forced retirement plans we have paid in to them and most of us won't live long enough to receive our initial investment back let alone any interest, had we been allowed to opt out and invest otherwise most of us would have. The rest can go bye bye in my opinion, but your point is certainly well taken although not like you intended for it in my opinion, you just demonstrated the need to reduce government

Retirement programs are collected thru contributions of the workers. It would be nice if the government would leave the money along.

Housing programs can be cut, there is a tremendous amount of fraud and waste in them

Why don't you try making energy affordable, government regs add to the cost of heating oil and the production of power.

SSI is not an entitlement program, it could have been. But now its just another tax that the congress spends.

Unemployment TDI, and medicare are suppose to be funded thru payroll deduction from working people. All 3 have been misused.

The welfare programs you mention could be cut by as much as 50% and still serve the same purposes.

I would either like to have regular reviews of every program with an eye of cutting waste and fraud. I understand the idea of spending money wisely is not liberal policy, you prefer to throw more money at the problem and raise taxes on those that work for a living.

Don't worry hommie your check is still in the mail....

By the way there is a BIG difference between a welfare queen and a federal employee receiving retirement wages for all the years of service that they WORKED for the government under a contract they signed with the government...... so to have retirement programs ( payments for services rendered ) on the same list as social programs is disingenuous on your part at best

Okay now look around your room, and yourself. Name a single thing you own that was provided via a socialist program as opposed to a capitalistic corporation.

Socialism exists yes, but in reality 90% of all your daily routines involves capitalism rather than socialism. From your job, to the food you eat to the clothes on your back.

WRONG, there is not one person or company in American that does not benefit from at least 3 or more socialist programs. Not one. Be it tax loop holes, tax subsides, regulations, R&D, grants or loans. So when you look around your room everything you see has been effected by some socialist program.

USA is a turning into a socialist country

that's why the outlook of USA is going down as we speak.

Less people want to immigrate to USA now because they see it becoming more socialist having elected a socialist president.

the top 1% of income earners in USA also pay 40% of federal income revenues, they are the ones who supported 40% of federal programs you can say in a way.

While most of the rich people are rich because of inheritance, their story to rich is surely not built upon socialist principles. They worked hard and made their way to the top, in a competitive capitalistic economy. When USA turns socialism these competitiveness is gone. There will be no motivation to succeed. The riches or those with desire to succeed will not be in USA. USA is going to be stagnant just like many of those socialist European countries.

The most socialist example l is in Alaska (under Comrade Palin) where every resident receives a $1200 check every year from the state's oil revenues. THAT is true socialism. A central economy where everyone benefits equally.

Here are a few you can get rid of for sure:Congressional Health Care, Corporate and Business Subsidies, Corporate bailouts and welfare. Why is it when it comes down to the little people everyone is ready to pull the rug out from under them, but when it comes down to billionaire run corporations we are all for dipping into taxpayer dollars?

    Actually, anything the government does on behalf of the people can be considered socialism;

    Post Office

    Military

    Highway System

Unlike most conservatives, I don't think socialism is a dirty word by itself. The question is how far do you want to take it? How deeply do you want the government in your wallets and haw much control do you want government to have over your lives.
