To Kill a Mocking Bird and The Grapes of Wrath. They are two of the greatest books in all of American literature. The other person obviously didn't understand the Grapes of Wrath, if they thought it was "weird." In fact, I think The Grapes of Wrath is great because of its variety and meaning. It has one main story and then several smaller stories within it.
