Pizza Hut was founded in 1958 Dan and Frank Carney in Wichita, Kansas They rented a small building and the free sign (provided by Pepsi) had enough space for nine characters and spaces, and of course "PIZZA" had to be part of the name so they needed a three letter word. It was one of their wives that came up with the "HUT".

Domino's was opened in 1960 Tom and James Monaghan as DomiNick's, near Michigan University. After buying out his brother, Tom renamed the company Domino's Pizza (in 1965). Apparently Tom chose this name because of it's similarity to DomiNick's. Which would not only retain the restaurant's current position in the local telephone listings but it would not be as confusing to his customers as a more drastic name change

    Pizza Hut -

When Dan and Frank Carney started a pizza restaurant in 1958 in Wichita, Kansas, they didn't know what to call it. The local Coca-Cola distributor provided a complimentary small outside sign that was wide at the top and tapered down at the bottom. There was room for only five letters on the top line and three letters on the bottom line. "Pizza" obviously had to be on top. But Pizza what? Pizza Pad? Pizza Inn? Pizza Pan? Pizza Jug? Dan's wife, Beverly, mentioned that she thought the building looked like a hut. The decision was made. The name of the pizzeria would be Pizza Hut.

    Domino's -

Tom and James Monaghan bought a pizzeria in Michigan named Dominick's Pizza, they wanted to revitalize it and decided to rename it. So they ended up naming it Domino's.

    Hope this helped!!! :3

hmmm? guessing the pizza was made in a hut by a Yettie! and with Dominoes they needed a gimmick for 1 call and 2 pizzas so they got the idea from a Domino with a 3 dots on it.

Pizza hut was created in south America. They were made in huts. Whereas dominos was created in the DR, they prepared the pizza on dominos. Tada.

Well it's very simple, you see in each case they gave a monkey a bag of Scrabble tiles, the rest you can work out for yourself
