Doesn't have to be a red plastic cup. It could be blue, clear, green. Use the Blue cup if you want to have blissful ignorance. Use the Red cup if you want to see how deep the rabbit hole goes. Use the clear cup for beer goggles. I think that might get a few to laugh. No, cups can be any color.

Solo cups? Quite a bit, but they are more often used to walk down the street or beach with a drink since a bottle or can would get you in trouble.

    or

If there is a keg you buy the cup in whatever color the party has.

Red, blue, and yellow are the most common.

Lol. ALL the time! What you see in movies as far as the red plastic cups is true! They are used for beer from a keg, mixed drinks, and playing beer pong, flip cup and other drinking games.

I asked the same question when I went to the states for college and I found out that basically all parties there have them. It's like the cheapest brand of disposable cups you can buy which is why they are always present at such parties.

They're pretty common at the kinds of parties that necessitate throwaway cups. They're made by Solo and others.
