After reading this article, I thought that the culture manners in different countries are very dissimilar, because people kiss the elders’ hands when they welcome them in Mexico ; nevertheless, we shake hands in the U.S. instead. The character of this article, Cristina, grew in Mexico, after living in the U.S. for three months, [he/she] had a party in [his/her] friend’s house, [His/Her] friend hoped that they can satisfy their [grandfather/grandpa] at this party. But when Cristina went in, [he/she] kissed their [grandfather’s/grandpa’s] hand unexpectedly, [his/her] friend’s parents were shocked and focused all their attention on him. Cristina didn’t know why were they looking at [him/her] with a strange expression in their eyes. After an explanation from Cristina’s friend, [he/she] finally knew that in the U.S. , when you and someone meet at the first time, you always shake hands; you hug if you meet very good friends. That’s why Cristina was gazed when [he/she] kissed [his/her] friend’s [grandfather’s/grandpa’s] hand.
