Did you know the 800,000 jobs that Bachmann says will be "lost" due to the Health Care Act, according to the?

CBO (non partisan Congressional Budget Office) are actually not lost jobs at all. There are people who work only to have health benefits. The Health Act will allow people to be able to have health care without working specifically for that benefit; so the 800,000 jobs "lost" would actually be optional, early retirement. Do you think this is a "spin" from Bachman, or do you think she's just out and out lying?

Update:

@Dark Night: You need to understand the Act - it's not free - you pay for it, it's just that you're not being gouged for it by insurance companies, but you are STILL paying insurance companies - they just have rules they must abide by. Ever look at anything for infor besides FOX or Right Wing Radio?

Bachman and the other GOP/Teabag/Fox 'News'/Jesus freak clones pimp exclusively for power and wealth. Worse, they also believe their own propaganda....they're what Eric Hoffer called 'True Believers'. They're also victims of cognitive dissonance...no matter what contrary evidence is presented it will be disbelieved. The entire business plan of private, for profit HEALTH INSURANCE is out of step with reality. In the pre and post war world medical science couldn't treat, much less cure dozens of health problems that are now routine. In the 1950's what is now standard care was science fiction. Health insurance companies never had to pay out much money so premiums were reasonable. Fast forward to the 21st century. MRI's, CAT scans, cancer treatments, replacement hips and knees, heart, liver and kidney transplants and medications that can keep even AIDS patients alive....all expensive and all of them a drain on a for profit insurance provider that's required to earn big profits for the investors. Enter Medicare....the insurance companies were dancing in the streets when the 'government' relieved insurance companies from having to insure the elderly. They cheered when Medicaid relieved them from the burden of insuring 'poor' people at reduced rates. They fought like hell to write policies that excluded 'pre existing conditions' and captive insurance commisions even allowed them to exclude people that lived in the wrong neighborhoods. The Affordable Insurance Act will cut into profits, but so what? There's a big difference between 'price' and value. That's why we need Medicare for all. The GOP/Teabag/Fox 'News'/Jesus Freak party pimps for profits...not for access to better health care via less expensive, non profit HEALTH insurance. The Party of No does not represent the 95% of us that work for wages and that's why these people have to be defeated. If they win they envision an America based on the Ferengi Home World...for you Star Trek fans, or more to the point the way it's done in backward, third world thugocracies. A few rich and a lot of peons and coolies who exist only to serve the needs of the rich. Look no further than Haiti....that's their shiny future for America.

So, 800,000 additional people get to receive health care for free at my expense and this is somehow a good thing to you Democrats? This law really, really needs to go.

@questioner: "The Health Act will allow people to be able to have health care without working specifically for that benefit." You just said they get to quit working and still receive health care. Now you're telling me they'll be paying for health care still. How is this going to be possible do you suppose?

Also, I don't watch Fox. No cable TV for over 10 years. Ever have a counter argument other than attacking Fox News?

The spectre of Soetorocare has already helped to kill the natural recovery that should follow the financial panic.

The CBO also said we can spend a trillion on that boondoggle, and it won't add to the deficit.

    Riddle us that one.
