Verizon Vs. AT&T Stock?

I looked at both of them (look pretty good). Which would you say would be a better buy? (NYSE: VZ, NYSE: T) They both have good dividend. Any opinions?

http://finance.yahoo.com/q/ks?s=VZ+Key+Statistics Learn what the numbers mean, then start picking your stocks, other wise I think you'd be better off investing with mutual funds.

For instance the crystal ballerz predict that AT&T will improve there EPS (this is shown by comparing forward P/E to trailling P/E). While they think that VZ will basically halve their EPS.

So the stock is already trading on this information. Which means that if AT&T raises their EPS, but not as much as predicted the stock will go down. VZ is predicted a way lower EPS because they've had insane growth recently and no one thinks they can keep it up.

If I had to pick one, I'd definitely say AT&T just because and P/E is so low(P/E is a good measure for how cheep a stock is/how excited the market is about a stock, if it's higher than a comparative company then it's a bit expensive and people like that stock).

But then VZ has a much better current ratio than AT&T.

Dude, just invest in mutual funds.....this stuff is hard

VZ has outperformed T by 15% over the last year, BUT VZ has had a bigger pull back on this correction. Technical analysis shows T is a better investment. VZ leading indicators are slightly negative. T leading indicators are still positive. (remember, indicators are indicators only, not prophets.)
