    Difference between a thyristor and an SCR - absolutely none although gate turn off (GTO) devices are invariably called thyristors. Triacs are SCRs as well but never called that.

    Difference between an opto-coupler and an opto-isolator - very little. Arguably an opto-isolator has a higher breakdown voltage.
