It varies depending on which part of the state. For inland Texas, over the central and eastern sections it tends to be in May and June. Along the coast the wettest time of year tends to be in September, associated with the peak of tropical systems affecting that area. Then in west Texas the rain peak tends to be in July, associated with monsoonal moisture that moves over that area around that time of year.
