Why did it take the tea party so long to get mad?
Question for the "Tea Party": What took you so long to get angry?
You didn't get mad when the Supreme Court stopped a legal recount and
appointed a President.
You didn't get mad when Dick Cheney allowed energy company officials to dictate energy policy and push us to invade Iraq .
You didn't get mad when a covert CIA operative got outed for political reasons.
You didn't get mad when the Patriot Act got passed.
You didn't get mad when we invaded a country that posed no threat to us and spent over 800 billion (and counting) on said war.
You didn't get mad when Bush borrowed more money from foreign sources than the previous 42 Presidents combined.
You didn't get mad when over 10 billion dollars in cash just disappeared in Iraq.
You didn't get mad when you found out we were torturing people.
You didn't get mad when Bush embraced trade and outsourcing policies
that shipped 6 million American jobs out of the country.
You didn't get mad when the government was illegally wiretapping Americans.
You didn't get mad when we didn't catch Bin Laden.
You didn't get mad when Bush ran up 10 trillion dollars in combined budget and current account deficits.
You didn't get mad when you saw the horrible conditions at Walter Reed Army Hospital.
You didn't get mad when we let a major US city, New Orleans, drown.
You didn't get mad when we gave people who had more money than they could spend over a trillion dollars in taxbreaks.
You didn't get mad with the worst 8 years of job creation in several decades.
You didn't get mad when over 200,000 US citizens lost their lives because they had no health insurance.
You didn't get mad when lack of oversight and regulations from the Bush Administration caused US citizens to lose 12 trillion dollars in investments, retirement and home values.
No . . . You finally got mad when a black man was elected President and decided that people in America deserved the right to see a doctor if they are sick.
Illegal wars, lies, corruption, torture, job losses by the millions, stealing your tax dollars to make the rich richer, and the worst economic disaster since 1929 are all okay with you, but helping fellow Americans who are sick . . .
A black president? Oh, Hell No!!

Folks, this is what political bigotry does to you.
You cannot see the facts.
You see only your side, your perspective and everything else gets distorted to fit.
Let's address these, from a Democrat's perspective who has not sold his ethics, shall we?
Bush v. Gore, 531 U.S. 98 (2000), was a United States Supreme Court case heard on December 11, 2000. In a per curiam opinion, by a vote of 7-2, the Court held that the Florida Supreme Court's method for recounting ballots was unconstitutional, and by a vote of 5-4, the Court held that no alternative method could be established within the time limits established by Florida Legislature. The per curiam opinion was argued on the basis of Equal Protection.
Energy company officials did not dictate. They pushed. Different thing, and they pushed for good reason. Kuwait had been attacked by Iraq. Kuwait begged our help. We stepped in. Then we waited for a decade while the UN acted like fools, then we finished the war rather than fight a two front war after Afghanistan attacked us.
Sorry, we had good reason to defend Kuwait. Saddam stated clearly he would nationalize the oilfields of Kuwait. Are you pro-stealing our economic businesses rather than insisting they buy them or ask them to leave?
No one got outed. She was no longer covert and hadn't been for some time.
Patriot Act has YET to be shown to have imposed on any one's freedoms, save that it allows wiretapping of those in direct contact with terrorists.
We invaded Iraq for the reasons I stated, and more. No threat? Every country in the world including Saddam's allies thought he had WMDs. Don't be silly.
Yep. President Bush did.
Yes, the people on the Right did get upset at the disappearing money. So did we.
No illegal wiretapping has been done. Prove that. It's a nonsense claim.
We were already losing businesses due to excessive taxes. He just made it easier to get the money back.
President Bush spent too much money. So has President Obama. I agree, end it.
Walter Reed had just done a report and were fixing the problem WHEN the news report came out after that. It was a hit piece. Kind of like me saying, "Hey, I got to fix this roof" and then you run to my neighbor and say, "Look, he ignores his roof!" What nonsense, been cleared up a while ago as a hit piece.
EVERYONE got mad about New Orleans. The Governor was criminally negligent.
Most of us aren't socialists, so we didn't get upset at the profits of those who earn it.
Most of us made allowances for a war.
We don't OWE you health insurance, so no anger on that count, and they died, most of them, regardless of health insurance. People die.
Oversight was attempted and blocked by people like Franks, members of the Democratic Socialists of America (like Pelosi, but interestingly enough, Reid isn't on their roster) who have a stated goal of collapsing our economy to replace it with socialism.
No illegal wars, no lies, no corruption, no torture (by any standard but the modern made up one that was quite conveniently aimed at President Bush), no stealing of tax dollars, just earning them.
No, instead you make false claims of illegal wars (no proof, no evidence), lies (lying about President Bush "lying" when it was NOT a lie on their part but on Saddam's who had every one convinced, including his allies), you encourage politicians who lie and make these claims without proof (that's corrupt), handicap our war efforts DURING a war, want to steal money from those who earn it to give to those who have not (that's called GREED, folks, when you want something you never earned and think you are owed it).
Folks, read this post carefully. Go check the facts. DON'T believe me. DON'T assume I am right.
I'm just a Democrat who never sold his ethics for a socialist agenda. I DON'T believe the ends justifies the means. I WON'T lie about a Republican because it serves my agenda.
Go educate yourselves. Then come back to this post and LAUGH! Not at the poster, but at yourselves for every just believing rather than checking. You will be so much freer.

Over the last 40 years, Democrats have become Republicans and Republicans became opportunists. The Tea Party has been formed as a "call to order" for, basically, the OLD Democratic way. That's why it's so hilarious to me to see todays Democrat rage over the Tea Party. The Tea Party is really just taking us back to the old Democratic way...putting us, the working people who made up the majority of America, back in control and stopping the god damned buy offs in the corporate world that has been allowed to control everything from Hollywood to Washington DC that the old world Reps created. Todays Republican is, indeed, yesterdays Democrat. And this is the part people don't understand. And we've all allowed the degredations of our country for 4 decades and now a grass roots movement has been created and is gaining momentum and influencing how things are going now. I don't think it's going to take as long to fix things as it did allowing it to degrade. But it took 40 years to get effed up...its going to take a bit. We're gaining steam though...

As was posted,
The Koch Roaches dint have the motivation to create a faux r.wing populist puppet group til a big-city N3GR0 community organizer from HARVARD LAW won NC and INDIANA!
Indiana had previously only voted Dem TWICE since 1934!
That was the r.wing extremist Koch Roaches worst nightmare made real.
So they threw a few of their ill-gotten $35 billion [no typo] into corrupting US politics and bought the GOP w/ the TP as a side-line.
Frank Rich: billionaires in the background [extreme rightist, Texan industrialist Koch bros, worth together $35 billion] bankrolled the Tea Party.
They funded the Tea Party as a “populist uprising against special interests and lobbyists.” David Axelrod, Obama’s senior adviser, said, ‘What they don’t say is that, in part, this is a grassroots citizens’ movement brought to you by a bunch of oil billionaires.’ ” http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2010/08/30/1008...
Paul Krugman, Nobel Laureate: The lunatic fringe is now the heart of the GOP.
"The Koch brothers are now at the heart of GOP power."

A rant but a great one. So the Tea Party did not exist as one says. WHY NOT while all this shameful corruption was festering? Did all the Tea Party activists just pop into being in January 2009? Were they all lying unconscious hooked up to feeding tubes waiting for the Koch Bros. to switch them into consciousness? The TP's deliberate, organised, conditional blindness to these problems, to these crimes, just destroys any claim they have to love the USA.
