what element has the shortest half life.?

i got told that there was an element that has a 4 second half-life. i do not believe this, but it could be true. does anyone know if there is a 4-second half life element. if not what is the element with the fastest half-life and how quick is the half life.

    There are a number of elements with half lives at small fractions of a second. I have given you a link to explore the chart of the nuclides, where there is color coding to indicate the half life. There may be too much information, but pay attention to the table at the bottom of the chart after you click on one of the small orangish squares. The orange ones have the shortest half lives. The T 1/2 column gives you the half life. I just picked one, mercury (Hg) 210 and it has a half life of 300 nanoseconds (ns), much less than 4 seconds.
