What are your most moving, emotional, favorite songs from Broadway?
You know, those songs that give you goosebumps or make you cry they're so beautiful? Yeah, those songs. Memory from Cats moves me all the time. Then My Man from Funny Girl (yes I did discover that from the Glee episode if you're wondering) and it gave me goosebumps.
So what's your favorite?
Thanks in advance!

Songs that just make me cry from the melody alone pretty much?
"Flight" by broadway composer Craig Carnelia, its meant for just one person but even better when two sing it, seriously the song is so pretty - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQExnCtLTac
"Back to Before" from Ragtime - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSOV92GNgoE (or to be honest, a LOT of the score from that show - "Sarah Brown Eyes" and "He Wanted to Say" etc)
"Goodbye Until Tomorrow/I Could Never Rescue You" from The Last Five Years - that entire show gives me goosebumps - get the CD seriously - its only two people and it is about their relationship and breakup - only his character moves forwards in time and hers moves backwards - this is the finale and she has just met him and he ending their relationship. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Zfh5H3rZbc I know that's an off-broadway show but its really famous.
"Stranger to the Rain" from Children of Eden is also really pretty in that same way.
Also "Diary of a Homecoming Queen" from Is there Life After High School is a real tearjerker.
I'm cutting myself off I could list these all day.

'The Dark I Know Well', 'Those You've Known', and 'Left Behind' from Spring Awakening--easily the three most moving songs I've ever heard in any musical (especially Left Behind--I cry every single time I hear it)
'Maybe This Time' from Cabaret
'Shadowland' and 'Endless Night' From The Lion King
